With the 2007 honorees, we are at the final phase of our initial three-year journey to look at the work of remarkable women who have helped to shape the history of media. She Made It: Women Creating Television and Radio celebrates the achievements and preserves the legacy of great women writers, directors, producers, journalists, sportscasters, and executives.
We invite you to watch the SMI events with honorees Mary Tyler Moore, Carol Burnett, Katie Couric, Tina Fey, and others (click the Watch tab), as well as enjoy clips from many of the honorees speaking about their work at past Paley Center events, in addition to reading the curator's essay for each woman. Next fall, we are expanding the initiative and partnering with Springboard Enterprises to launch ALLTHINGSMEDIA, a venture capital forum aimed at helping female media entrepreneurs gain access to the capital they need to take their businesses to the next level.
